Gertie Cabernet Franc
Small production Cabernet Franc, from very special blocks in the Clare Valley.
Redcurrant and blackcurrant, exotic spices, rosemary and rosy perfume. Medium-bodied, delicious crunch of sappy fruit and spice, almost a milky feel, fine silty tannin, and this kind of rosehip tea perfume trailing on a lets-go-again finish.
A little bit of whole-bunch, a few weeks on skins post-ferment to build some structure and depth. Unfined unfiltered, and oh so limited.
Ranked in the top 100 Halliday wines of 2024.
23 Super Gertie Cabernet Franc
Fruit from our block, hand-picked by THE fussiest picker on the planet.
Processed at the vineyard in our micro-winery. No oak, this wine is built around tannin, fruit weight and a frisky acid line.
Sit back and spend some time with this one and enjoy the journey.
Bottled in a ceramic 550ml bottle made by Australian legend of pottery , Robert Gordon in their new solar-powered kiln, sealed with natural cork and dipped in beeswax from bees off our farm.

Gertie Riesling
This was the first time I had the chance to make Riesling from our block as it had always been sold as fruit.
Hand-picked and whole bunch pressed to only extract the absolute best possible juice, wild ferment in tank and left to sit for six months before going to bottle unfined and unfiltered.
White florals, a touch Germanic, perfect all the time
Currently sold out.
23 Super Gertie Riesling
Like the SGF the fruit is from our block, picked by the same picker, foot stomped by the kids and basket pressed overnight giving texture and depth of flavour.
Sent to old oak, wild fermented and left to sit for about 8 months, and then to bottle. This wine steers into a spice and white floral spectrum, this is THE wine for lunch time. Interestingly juicy.
